Charting Liturgical Change
Neither dialectic nor diatribe, this two-sided handout offers a clear, accessible chart that simply notes the formal differences between the “two forms of the Roman Rite” – i.e., Pope Paul VI's New Mass of 1969 and the Traditional Latin Mass typified by the 1962 Missal – which are compared in turn to the rite of Mass crafted by Thomas Cranmer, the apostate Archbishop of Canterbury, for the propagation of the Anglican schism in sixteenth-century England.
Handout makes for a helpful, concise starting point to discussion, and includes several book recommendations for further study.
